The Madness of Wunderland
The ancient town of Old Haven was once a bustling locus in Westfall. As the capital of Westfall, it was central to commerce in the region and not only offered a place for trade, but also for protection for the local farmlands. The township was rapidly growing especially through new farming growth and Old Haven even sprouted a “academy” for farmers and Druids.
However, during the Emerald War, Old Haven was sieged and severely crippled. Its industrial center was destroyed while the water supplies were poisoned. With the local farmlands in Westfall left to ruin, citizen made a mass exodus out of Old Haven leaving for safer lands. The city soon faced massive economic downfall and became a delapidated version of its former glory.
Today Old Haven is home to refuges, migrants, and the indigent. It is a refuse pile that provides basic sustenance to those who call it home. Trade still abounds, but most traders pass through quickly without ever staying too long. Recently though, Warlord Oda has invested in a local barracks and naming a new constable. Slowly peace and order are being restored to Old Haven, but only time will tell if the town will ever return to its hey day.
